Cuisinart HM-70 Power Advantage, sturdy, and more than able to do all the ... in my opinion


A few days earlier. I'm looking for information on the Cuisinart HM-70 Power Advantage 7-Speed Hand Mixer, Stainless and White, so i have to tell.


see the end of this review for one of 4 years update.* ** I was in the market for a new hand held mixer after KitchenAid I received for Christmas a couple of years back died an ignominious death while making a simple chocolate cookies game. I have a twenty year old, Heavy Duty stand mixer, KitchenAid 325 Watts who has never let me down and I expected better from their hand held mixer. I could go on, but that's another story. I had my search narrowed to seven speed Cuisinart and the Dualit hand mixer (made in England) and decided to go with the Cuisinart, partly because it was lower in cost and partly because I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get parts or support for Dualit repair if ever needed. Cuisinart is a major supplier of kitchen electrics in the United States and have service centres almost everywhere. the Cuisinart 7 speed, features and really there are 7 different speeds. the first speed is rather slow, unlike the low speed Dualit, while top speed is quite lively. all the different speeds are achieved electronically via an electronic circuit to control contained inside the handle of the appliance. Initially, I was worried about this. outdated equipment, like my KitchenAid stand mixer, analog media speeds, where a series of resistors (actually, a variable resistive coil) is used to check the voltage to the motor, and then control the speed of motors. This is very simple and effective instrument of control not no load speed. However, the disadvantage is that the mixture that you are mixing becomes thicker, the machine will slow down as the amount of power going to the motor stays constant unless you turn the speed controller.
