A week ago. I search for information on the Cuisinart DLC-2ABC Mini-Prep Plus Food Processor, Brushed Chrome, so i would like to bring a story to tell.
a time for every seasoningand a tool for every purpose. Cuisinart Mini Prep will not serve as a primary processor for heavy work. that was not the intended design, or operation. This is not a grater Parmesan or competes with a sharp knife to chop evenly French Onion. I got my first mini prep as a promotional gift with a purchase of DLC-7. for many years they have contributed to my kitchen enjoyment as a team, and trouble-free in a crowded kitchen. when their lexan covers the end chipped, (which admittedly is major cause of aggravation with Cuisinart products) I opted to replace them rather than spend up to 50% of their new cost for replacement bowls. I updated the old DLC-7 which is still mechanically perfect, with a limited edition of MP-14 TM. the Mini Prep perfectly complimenting the larger processors. the mini prep makes dressings and delicious homemade sauces, creamy. performs equally well making pesto, cream butter, chopped fresh herbs, including garlic, chopped walnuts, small portion purees, deviled eggs, and fresh sauces speedy spread. It has a slow and a fast lever which I like because they can be "pulsed" on and off with instant response. This offers a tremendous control over Cook demanding different types of prep work favorable to small processors. Mini Prep seems perfectly designed to make small portions of dressings and condiments, such as mayonnaise to cilantro grilled fish, or a tuft on fresh salad of grilled corn.
